The main building of the Inn was built in 1780 as a private home. It boasts spectacular original trims and doors, along with wide plank floors. Attached to the Inn is a fantastic Carriage House with an outstanding original basket-weave brick floor. True to Yankee ingenuity, the barn is attached to the Carriage House, which we renovated in 1989 into a banquet room on the first level, and guest rooms on the second level. If you wander through the Inn, you will find exposed beams, wide-plank floors and many windows paned with original glass.

Our beautiful buildings rest on six stunning acres of land off the Lyme common. Roam our gardens to see our colorful assortment of flowers. Check out our vegetable gardens to see what we have harvested. Relax on our patio and listen to the water running over the stones of our fountain. Sit comfortably and read a book on one of our porches. We encourage you to make yourself at home and enjoy all we have to offer.
