The Charm of Lyme
Our Village has so much to offer. Its Congregational Church, built almost 200 years ago, has extraordinary interior woodwork. Its bell was cast by Paul Revere and you can hear its chimes on the hour with its traditional sounds. Near the church is the longest line of contiguous horsesheds in New England. 50 sheds were built in 1810 by the son of the builder of the church, but only 27 remain, which still show the inscribed names of the original owners. Behind the church lies an ancient cemetery with beautifully carved dated headstones.
