Our Corporate-Day-Package includes breakfast to dinner, or ala carte.

PROPERTY

The Inn is on six-plus acres of land with a duck pond, old stonewalls, flower gardens, vegetable garden and a new herb garden. Off of the breakfast room, is a stone patio with a water-fountain. It is a great place to host a cocktail reception or an afternoon tea.

FACILITIES

The Dowds' Country Inn has 22 guestrooms all with private baths, telephones, modem hookups and air-conditioning. We have 9 single-rooms, (each with 1 queen-sized bed), 3 suites, 10 double-rooms, (7 with 2 queen-sized beds and 3 with 1 queen-sized bed and 1 twin bed).

Each room has unique décor with homemade quilts, stenciling on the walls and large-wide-board-floors. Four guestrooms are hosted on the first floor, (two are handicap-accessible), sixteen rooms on the second floor in two separate wings, and two rooms on the third floor.

Our banquet room has original wide-board-floors, exposed beams and original paned glass in the windows. The restrooms include handicap-accessible bays. The banquet room is also handicap-accessible. The banquet room can host 200 for a sit-down meal, 150 for sit-down or buffet service and dancing.

We also host corporate conferences in the banquet room in addition to events. The room can host 75 in a classroom style, 100 in a banquet style or 120 in an auditorium style.

The breakfast room is used to host small private parties and breakfast. For breakfast we can host 40 people for ala carte. For private parties we can host 60 comfortably for sit-down service and 40 for buffet service.

The Carriage House is used as a living room, T.V. room and gathering place for our guests. The room has an outstanding original basket-weave brick floor in the lower level and wide-board-floors on the upper level.

Our lobby host guest reception upon arrival at the Inn. It too has wide-board-floors and exposed beams.

LUNCH

  • Warm Goat Cheese, Roasted Tomato and Eggplant Salad
  • Open
  • Faced Broiled Red Onion, Brie Cheese, Tomato and French Bread Sandwich served with Maple Mustard
  • Peppered Beef Salad Niciose
  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad
  • Tomato and Wild mushroom Saute with Polenta
  • Smoked Chicken, Apple and Cheddar Sandwich

DINNER

Start with an appetizer:

  • Chilled Poached Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce
  • French Onion Soup and Crouton
  • Grilled Marinated Portabello Mushroom Salad

Onto entree:

  • Seared Blue Fin Tuna Steak with a Spicy Tomato Cream Sauce
  • Sauteed Chicken with White Wine Lemon Caper Sauce
  • Beef Wellington with Shiitake Mushroom Maderia Sauce
  • Roast Rack of Lamb with Rosemary
  • Dijon Mustard Sauce
  • Lobster Ravioli with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce and Asiago Cheese

And finish with a delicious dessert:

  • Chocolate Mousse
  • Homemade Shortcakes with Seasonal Fruit swimming in Fresh Whipped Cream
  • Hazelnut Torte
